🥖 How to Store Your Sourdough Bread
1. Room Temperature (Best for 1–3 Days)
Wrap in a clean kitchen towel or place in a paper bag, then store in a bread box or on the counter.
Avoid plastic—it traps moisture and softens the crust.
If you like a crusty exterior, just slice as needed and keep the cut side down on a wooden board.
🕒 Best if eaten within 2–3 days for peak freshness!
2. Longer-Term (Up to 1 Week)
Store in a sealed paper bag inside a plastic bag, or in a beeswax wrap to slow drying without killing the crust entirely.
You can also use a reusable bread bag or linen bag with a drawstring.
3. Freezing (Great for Longer Storage)
Slice the loaf first, then wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil and place in a freezer-safe bag.
To enjoy: just pop a slice in the toaster or reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
❄️ Loaves can be frozen for up to 3 months with minimal loss of quality.
4. Reviving Bread
If your sourdough feels a little stale:
Lightly mist with water or run quickly under the tap,
Wrap in foil and place in a 350°F oven for 10–15 minutes.
